American Airlines Revises Same-Day Flight Change Policy

American Airlines new change in policy for same-day change will likely effect business travelers Previously, American Airlines customers could pay $75 to switch to another flight on the same day and could change a one-stop flight to a nonstop flight or vice-versa. The previous policy also allowed customers the option to fly to a nearby airport. The rules now state that American Airlines customers must travel through the same hub city and must fly to the same airport, even if they are flying to a city with multiple airports. For example, passengers flying to Washington, D.C. can no longer choose between Dulles International Airport or Reagan National Airport.
