Ritz-Carlton has unveiled its first Swiss property in Geneva.
Located minutes from Pont du Montblanc on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix is housed within a renovated 19th century boutique hotel, offering 75 rooms including 14 suites.
The hotel has retained its original Italian architecture, adding modern interiors designed to complement the surrounding scenery, along with exclusive features such as a Philippe Pascoët chocolate shop in the hotel lobby.
Rooms offer views of Lake Geneva or Mont Blanc Square, and feature nature-inspired décor, an honour bar, coffee and tea-making facilities, LCD satellite TV, a safe and toiletries. Free wifi is included.
Italian chef Alessio Corda, of Spain’s El Bulli and Ritz-Carlton’s Okinawa and Osaka properties, heads the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, which offers “seasonal and creative fine dining” using local produce. Dishes take inspiration from Corda’s time in Italy, Japan, Spain and now, Switzerland. A second restaurant is set to open soon.
Event planners can use the hotel’s one lakefront meeting room, which has capacity for 100 people with floor-to-ceiling windows and AV equipment. There is also a gym and parking.
